General terms
Www.piipposhop.com and www.manilla.fi are marketplaces operated by Manilla Oy where products are sold by Manilla Oy (Business ID: 2933137-2). These terms and conditions apply in the commercial relationship between Manilla Oy (“Supplier”) and its customers (“Buyer”) when transaction is made through the online store (“Marketplace”).
Manilla Oy reserves the right to change the terms and conditions by unilateral decision without any prior notice. Unless otherwise specified, changes to the law will come into effect immediately.
Manilla Oy is not liable for any damage caused by force majeure. Force majeure is considered to be an unforeseeable event or a change in circumstances, which Manilla Oy is not able to influence. In case of force majeure Manilla Oy is obliged to notify the customer of force majeure as soon as possible.
The Buyer may register as a user of the service by filling in the contact form and selecting a username and password. The service requires a valid email address. The Supplier has the right to refuse the registration for a justified reason. The Supplier reserves the right to close down the user account due to neglect of payment, misuse of the service, legislation or any other legitimate reason.
The buyer
Manilla Oy sells products to companies (corporate customer) and consumer customers. The Sale of Goods Act is applied to the trade between the corporate customers and the supplier unless otherwise agreed. The valid Consumer Protection Act applies to the trade with consumer customers.
The Buyer is obligated to hand over the full contact information when placing an order. Full contact information required from consumer customer contains at least name, address, phone number, and possibly an email address. The information required from business customers is the name of a contact person, phone number, email address, company ID, postal address, company phone number(s), and if applicable, the billing address.
Customer information is saved in the customer register of Manilla Oy. This information can be used to maintain and to develop the customer relationship. Manilla Oy handles personal data in the role of a controller in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679). Privacy Statement is available at the bottom of the page under “Privacy Statement”. You can deny access to and use of information for marketing purposes by contacting Manilla Oy by email piippo@piippo.fi.
Products and price list
The possible product images are indicative, and the physical product may vary from the example image.
Prices for consumer customers are inclusive of VAT. VAT 0% rates will be shown to the registered corporate customer, if logged in. Shipping costs are not included in the prices. If the price list includes clear pricing errors, the product is not sold at a significantly lower price, if the customer can be expected to understand the existence of the error. Did understand, or should have understood.
Prices are valid until further notice. The Supplier reserves the right to change the prices by unilateral decision. At the time of the ordering, valid price is applied along with valid terms and conditions.
Customized products are not subject to exchange or return. The Buyer is responsible for costs caused by product return.
Manilla Oy uses a Checkout payment service in its online store. The service has been registered in the payment institution register maintained by the Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA). The service is maintained by Checkout Finland Oy (Business ID 2196606-6) and Checkout Finland Oy is owned by OP.
Checkout Finland maintains payment buttons for all Finnish banks. The Buyer can pay from the accounts of Nordea, Osuuspankki, Säästöpankki, POP-pankki, Danske Bank, Handelsbank, S-pankki, Ålandsbanken, and LähiTapiola. Checkout Finland Oy will be the recipient of the Buyer’s bank statement, and will forward the payment to the Supplier.
The Byuer can pay at online store by Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard- and MasterCard Debit. The Card payment is secured by Nets SSL Secure Payment Form. The online store or Checkout Finland Oy do not have access to card information and the payment card information is not stored in our system. Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode authentication services are used at the online store.
Delivery methods
Products are delivered to Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany and France.
The order processing time is on average the next working day after sending the automatic order confirmation. The delivery time is usually 1-4 working days. The online store will automatically calculate the possible delivery costs. The cash on delivery payment is charged in the cash on delivery orders.
The postal package deliveries are picked up from the nearest post office. The order can be picked up mainly after 16 PM on the day after sending. The Buyer receives an arrival notification both by text message and to the delivery address indicated in the order at the next postal delivery round. The delivery time is normally 1-2 working days. The post office will keep the shipment for one calendar week.
Smartpost parcel locker is an easy way to receive packages. The order will be delivered to your selected parcel locker. As a rule, the order can be picked up mainly after 16 PM on the day after sending. The post office will keep the shipment for one calendar week. The arrival notification and the parcel point code are sent by text message.
Separately handled freight is designed for large-sized goods. If any of the sides of a package is larger than 60 cm, this mode of transport must be used.
EMS (Express Mail Service) shipment can be at maximum 60 x 36 x 60 cm. The EMS shipment is delivered to a customer abroad.
The customer is checked for identity upon delivery of the product. If the product is picked up by someone other than the customer who ordered the product, a letter of attorney is required.
Please note that the products are delivered to Finland, Åland (different freight charges), Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Germany, and France. When delivering outside Finland an extra delivery fee may apply.
Availability
The buyer can either accept the post- delivery or cancel the part delivery of the order. The cancellation must be notified by email to piippo@piippo.fi. Post-deliveries are delivered free of charge.
There may be a short delay in the product availability information. If there are no products left and the product information is still available in the online store, the online store will send a separate notification to the customer.
After receiving the products, the Buyer must check immediately that the delivery contains what was ordered and that there is no visible external damage on the goods caused by transportation. The Buyer is requested to report any product defects and transportation damages to Manilla Oy within seven (7) days of receiving the products.
Return statement
In case of return the Buyer must contact piippo@piippo.fi before returning the goods. The products must be returned in their original packaging and the product must be unused. The buyer has a 14-day right to return the product.
The customer is responsible for any direct and indirect costs that may be associated with the return (e.g. necessary packaging materials, travel costs).
The customer is obliged to save the copies of the return documents. The package tracking code for the customer return from Posti (Post) is the only way for proving the dispatch of the item.
Warranty
The products have a two-year material warranty.
Complaint
In case of a possible complaint, the customer must contact piippo@piippo.fi in writing. A receipt of the payment must be attached to the complaint.
These general terms and conditions of sale are governed by the Finnish law and any disputes are settled in the courts of Manilla Oy’s domicile.
